by Dr. Gayle Gulick Nelson,
Psychology Northwest, P.S. is a professional organization dedicated
to providing quality psychological services.
Dr.
Gulick Nelson
is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience
in working with couples, and
individuals.
She is trained in Marriage Therapy, Insight Oriented Therapy,
Cognitive Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis,
Behavior Modification and Assertiveness Techniques.
Her therapeutic approach includes assisting the client to identify
problem areas, to explore new options, and to achieve a sense
of personal power. The client is then better prepared to make
a confident decision about whatever changes she/he wishes to
make.
She received
her doctoral degree from the University of Washington in educational
psychology. In addition, she took postdoctoral training in long
term psychotherapy. Her clinical internships include work at
Eastside Community Mental Health and in supervised private practice
working with adults, both couples and individuals.
Her theoretical
orientation is interactive long term psychotherapy.
